Mums House

Fundraising to fix up Mums Home (deceased) and to rent it out as Holiday Accommodation so that the running costs of maintaining the home (land rates included) can continue to be paid to the Council, and therefore, her home will be "safe" and not be sold by any third party.  

Only looking to raise about $10,000 - $20,000 NZD. Any help appreciated. I will give regular updates as to the amount that has been raised. Once we have a good amount, we will then finish fundraising. Just really needing some renovations on the house itself - a complete re-paint inside, fixing up some floorboards and finishings inside, fixing up holes in the walls and doors, getting some basic fittings into the kitchen and some decent tapware/plumbing in certain areas.

Just need to make it habitable for people who want to possibly use it for holidays etc. Not wanting to go to the bank to get a loan, as this will mean that we would have to use Mums house as collateral which we don't want to do, as we can't really afford to make repayments on the loan. Of course, if anyone here does help towards fundraising, then some discounts will be given back to you too if you ever need a place to stay in  Te Kaha - on the beautiful East Coast of New Zealand.
