Mum urgently needs treatment 4 lung cancer

My very dear friend Deanna, is battling teminal cancer. She has certainly had to fight over the years with cancer which we thought had finally been beaten, only for it to return with avengence. What is so tragic for this mother of three is that she has had to battle all her life. I dont believe in my lifetime that i have ever met anyone as kind, gentle, strong, loving and selfless as she is. Her life is her children. Everything that she has done has been for her children. With no father she made sure they wanted for nothing so she worked seven days a week from home to bring in an income to raise her children and be there for them at the same time. The recent discovery that her condition is terminal is heartbreaking for everyone especially her children. We have just found out that there is a drug which could have dramatic effects on her life. Research has shown that Keytruda has had significant effects on people suffering with small cell lung cancer, in some cases reducing the size of tumors by half, therefore significantly increasing the longevity of the patient.This drug, Keytruda is not being funded in NZ. Shockingly only 11 percent of medicines are approved each year for funding. The treatment my friend requires is fortnightly drug administration. This means that in total we need to raise $100,000. For some people this may be a new handbag or pair of shoes but for us this is an impossible amount of money to find.Its a huge cost vs no hope. Time is quickly running out. If we dont start drug treatment soon she may only have months left to live. Please, please help us to give her a chance at life.Please help me give hope to my friend and her family.
