Campaign Story
We are located in Kikyekye, Ibanda District with a goal offering less privileged children in Uganda with life sustaining vocational skills. We offer various courses including vehicle mechanic, hair dressing and saloon management, driving, brick laying, plumbing , electrical works among others.
We currently have a partly developed institution with student capacity 300 and usage of 215 students. We have full time 12 members of staff including 8 Trainers, 2 Administrators and 2 Cooks. Our average monthly expenditure on staff salaries and administration is £1,000 and £450 respectively. Only 15% of this is raised through student contributions and this drive is to raise the 85% as well as maximising usage and increasing institution's student capacity to 500 from the current 300.
Apart from training, we aspire to support our graduates with capital to start individual or group Income Generating Activities (IGAs). We intend to achieve this by establishing institutional managed Loan guarantee Funds and revolving Funds to enhance economic independence of our graduates.
We welcome and appreciate your support in improving the quality of life for the less privileged children.
