MS treatment for our friend Ola

Hi everyone! I created this fundraiser to help collect funding for treatment for a good friend and a really amazing person, Ola Martyniuk. Here is few words from Ola:

As some of you probably know, I was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis in 2018. My MS characteristic includes a couple of factors which suggest that I have higher odds that with time my MS will develop into Secondary Progressive MS, which characterises by a steady decline without periods of remission. And this is bad news, since as for Relapsing Remitting MS (the initial phase of the illness) there are many treatments to choose, for the SPMS it is not the case.

In order to spot the root causes of my illness and address them to give myself better chances for the future, I would like to take part in a program at Sharlin Health & Neurology Clinic, which specialises in a personalised approach to neurological health. Dr Sharlin is currently the only certified neurologist in the world who is also trained and certified in functional medicine. He uses advancements in neurology and his treatment program combines genomics, functional medicine and neurology.

By using advanced laboratory tests (incl. 3D MRI, DNA testing and more) Dr Sharlin is identifying the root causes of the neurological issues and helps to change the trajectory of patients' health.

The complete program for Multiple Sclerosis that I would like to take part in gives the tools to not only improve short term health, reduce and eliminate flare-ups, but also helps to develop skills that will allow me to continue the improved trajectory for the rest of my life.

I would also like to include intensive psychotherapy to help me go through the stress and anxiety related so closely to this unpredictable disease and this comes at a cost as well, because what the insurance is offering is truly minimal support.

Unfortunately I cannot afford to pay for all of it on my own. If you’d like to show your support, I would be more than grateful for your help. Any funds donated will help me cover costs related to medical treatments of MS which are not covered by the insurance.
