MRPS Alumni Scholarship

SEEKING FUNDING FOR PRIMARY SCHOOL LEARNERS

We are a group of five friends who graduated from Mountain Road Primary School (situated in Cape Town, South Africa) in 2007. To commemorate a decade since the school has laid our foundation, we have founded a Scholarship Programme, in an effort to give back to our community. This scholarship aims to financially assist and academically support a deserving Mountain Road Primary School learner.

The school was established in 1883 with a vision to “dream big, aim high and make a difference.” Mountain Road Primary is based in Woodstock and currently houses students from previously disadvantaged areas around Cape Town.

The scholarship will be presented annually to a grade 6 or grade 7 learner who exudes academic promise, is in financial need and participates in the schooling community.

The scholarship will cover the cost of a full academic year which will include:

• Annual school fees
• Leadership and Team-building Camp
• Stationery
• The award placard (to be presented at the prize-giving ceremony)
