Movie Memories is dedicated to growing a new audience for classic films by bringing them into the classrooms as a teaching tool.  We have a free program that includes teacher guides and study guides to use a film in any number of subjects, including History, Social Studies, Civics, languages, Speech, Music Appreciation, English, and many other subjects.

Students are introduced to films such as 12 Angry Men, Tale of Two Cities, To Kill a Mockingbird, Mr. Hulot's Holiday, Casablanca, Modern Times, Orfeu Negro, Dragon Seed, A Song to Remember, and literally hundreds of other films.

The program has proven to be very popular with students, who not only learn, but who love seeing past fashions, observing past mores, and seeing things like dial phones and clocks.  We have found that, contrary to popular belief, students happily watch black and white films and even silent films if they tell a good story.

We would like to be able to develop our program more fully and to more schools.

In addition to our school program, Movie Memories hosts retrospectives of past stars, directors, cinematographers, and writers all over the country.
