Move Mountains For Axel

Our two good friends, Axel and Veronica Exconde, are going through a really tough time right now and we feel compelled to not just pray, but to also do what we can to stand and fight with them to help them overcome their battles. Axel and Veronica met through the sky internet way back in 1997. Axel used the nick “Da_Pons”, while Veronica was known as “dawn”, and they were active chatters in the sky internet MiRC channels #real_people and #growing_up, where most of us met and got to know them. After becoming sweethearts for 3 years, they finally tied the knot in 2000 and they have been blessed with a very loving, intelligent, and talented son named Adi. The Exconde family are faithfully serving in their local Parish at the Holy Family in Kamuning where both Axel and his son Adi are choir members. They have also faithfully and generously served as volunteer parents at the “Manila Boys Town Boys' Home”, where they serve and minister to young boys who are orphans. Axel has already been a father figure to many of these boys since he not only helps provide food and clothing for them, but he also provides counselling and spends time with them to encourage them that there is always hope. The past two years have been difficult as Axel battled retinal detachment and complications due to his diabetes. After going through a series of medical treatment and assessment, there is no other option but for Axel to undergo a kidney transplant for his health to be fully restored. This is not the only battle this good couple is facing. Axel’s eye treatment is ongoing and they have already spent hundreds of thousands for his eye operation and medical maintenance. It was also recently discovered that Axel has a blockage in his heart and would also need to undergo either a by-pass surgery or angioplasty. His heart needs to be strong so he can go through the kidney transplant procedure. Axel’s niece has volunteered as a donor and we thank the Lord that they are a match. Half of the battle is already won! We therefore appeal to your kind and generous hearts to pray and give to help fund the medical treatment of Axel. Due to his condition, he has been unable to work for a couple of years now. It is only through the grace of God and the generous help of their families and friends that they are able to meet their daily medical needs. We are helping carry their burden through this Go Fund me project. We pray and we hope that we are able to raise Php 3,500,000 ($70,000), to meet all the medical expenses for the heart treatment and kidney transplant operation.
