Hello and thanks for taking the time to read this. I am a self employed single 57 y/o single women who has my 83 y/o Mom living with me. It is an absolute joy to have her with me. She is fairly healthy thank goodness for 83 and she is always a positive, fun, upbeat soul.

You see my Dad (and of course her husband of 58 years) passed almost 12 years ago. It was a tragic story. One we have tried to get past for years now. He had a triple by pass and during the surgery he suffered massive brain damage ( an allergic reaction to the anesthesia) and was left in a totally incapacitated state.

He lived needing constant care for almost 4 years. Their insurance maxed out at 1.5 million within 6 months as he remain hospitalized for an extensive amount of time, then they did what is termed longterm care where they tried to teach him how to chew and swallow again as well as speak a little, then it was to rounds of physical therapy. Then home with 3k+ a month in prescription drugs. By the time he passed my Mom had had to sell everything of any value. First thing that had to go was her home..... to even get him considered for medicaid. The last 2 years he lived and was in a nursing care center. They took very good care of him and seemed to love him as we did.

So since that time my Mom has live with me and or my brother and she lives on $667 a month SS because they were self employed most of their whole married life.Unfortunately they were also misinformed and dad paid her a salary thinking she'd collect the SS from that in the event of his death. Instead a spouse gets the deceased husband's ...so $667. While alive and disabled she got his and hers. But once he had passed only his. Oh and they had paid her May's money and because he passed before the end of may she had to give them some back...LOL I wish it was funny.

Thus she lives with family since she had to sell their home to get medical help for dad after insurance was gone. So I bet you are wondering......How does all this get us to the "i want to move to England" Well she is a medicaid recipient of course and I have seen first hand the way she is treated by the government, the medical profession and the like. Not to mention when you are a medicaid patient many things are not available to you. She has had the medicare part B and C and X Y and Z ...what ever but she is still treated both medically and attitude -wise poorly.

So we are trying to raise the funds to move to the UK... Healthcare is free once you become a resident and even when not free it is Soooooo much less expensive.I am of course self employed and have no insurance... Can't afford it so this will of course be helpful to me financially. Because everything I spend on healthcare here for me is money I can't use for her needs and wants.

I have some savings but a move like this is expensive. We are selling everything here and taking only clothes and a few important keepsakes plus my work equip. We plan to rent a small flat probably only one bedroom. But I am a photograp

So if anyone is inclined to help with a donation towards this we will be forever grateful.
