2 years ago I weighed 135kg's and suffered terribly from kidney stones and weight-related issues. Today I weigh 76kg's I made a life choice and have stuck with this all the way. I follow the same eating plan, a good exercise regime, and live healthy every day.

You can view my Strava profile here: https://www.strava.com/athletes/28988517

I started Mountain Biking on a secondhand Momsen AL129 in June of 2018 as a way to enjoy exercise and enjoy the outdoors. I rode my first 55km MTB challenge for the Telkom 947 in November of 2018 and the following weekend rode the full Telkom 947 on my MTB to raise money for a charity group for St David's Marist Inanda.
I have a dream to ride the Sani2c event in 2020 which has been postponed to December. I was able to scrape together some cash together for secondhand Carbon Fiber MTB with a Cannondale Lefty Shock. Sadly, on Thursday 25th June I had a terrible accident while training with two friends at Delta park for the upcoming Berg & Bush event in October. I took a large jump and when landed the front tyre burst resulting in multiple injuries to myself and my MTB. I have managed to sell my Momsen AL129 in an effort to pay for the repairs needed to my Cannondale and purchase a new helmet.

Your support and contribution will go a long way to helping me repair my current mountain bike and reach my dreams, allowing me the opportunity to continue riding for health and Charity.

  • Here's wishing you a speedy recovery, Staggman. I hope that you are able to replace your trusty custom lefty and that Berg and Bush is amazing. All the very best. Paul, Tarryn and Hayley
