Mountain Bike for Winning Races

Mountain bike racing is my life. Right now I am going to school getting home and training for 2-4 hours daily. My weekends are spent racing or on extremely long rides trying to get fast enough to one day race in Europe against the fastest people in the world or be a top finisher in a national race like the one this July in Pennsylvania I hope to be able to attend. The bike I am riding right know is a 25 pound beast. The xc races here in Utah are mostly won on the climbs and that's hard when people are riding something 4-5 pounds lighter. Right now I am trying to save up for a lighter bike and your help would be very greatly appreciated. The bike I am saving up for the Specialized Stumpjumper Expert Carbon 29 HT. It is a dedicated race bike meant for winning and I would love to be able to gain the advantage this bike would give me.
