Campaign Story
My wife and me have been called by God to visit every town in the Western Cape, South Africa to walk with and pray with a 3.8 meter (12 FT) wooden cross. We started last year in September 2015 and have been on the road ever-since.
We live in a 50 year old small caravan. We have visited 77 towns to date and still have to another 140 towns to visit
We need a motor-home as the 50 year old caravan is too small (3m x 2m) for us.
As i am very tall just under 2 meters (6.5FT) in height the width of the caravan is less than me which means i don't get a decent night’s sleep with also having leg problems. At the highest point of the caravan inside my head pushes against the roof and any other areas i bump my head all the time. Sound like complaining but we have been living like this for the last 11 months with many bumps and knocks during this time.
We don’t have any toilet and a shower and in most towns visited we don’t have access to these facilities. For me it is easy I can just run into a bush but I cannot expect that from my wife Winnie. Many times we are not able to shower for a days on end. Not having a toilet has put us in some awkward situations at times. (won’t go into details) Caravan is suitable for short camping trips but we have been living in it for 1 year already and will still be on the road for the next year or more. We will also save on fuel cost as our car uses a lot of fuel when we tow, also we will save on caravan park fees as we can then park anywhere.
A motor-home will allow us to carry more equipment to do Gospel outreaches on weekends
We currently staying in a back yard in Cape Town as in the winter it is very cold here and it rains a lot. We using this opportunity to raise funds in the next few weeks to enable us to purchase a second hand Motor home
With a Motor home it means we will be able to park anywhere at any time and we will also have on-board shower and toilet facilities which will also save us money as we no longer have to pay to stay in caravan parks
We will be back on the road in beginning October 2016 for the next 12 months as we still have +- 140 towns to visit.

On our website we have a page dedicated raising funds locally and at the moment received just over R16 000 ( +- $1000) already from friends and family – As soon as our target is reached that will allow us to buy a motor-home we will stop this fundraising here and locally in South Africa. The little old caravan will also be sold to help fund our mission trip as soon as we have a motor-home
We have included some picture of some places we have visited and the ministry we do.
May God bless you as you give towards the work we do
