Motivational Youth Magazine

Most of the time people choose the streets either because they feel as though education is too much for them, or they just cannot be bothered. After almost having an encounter with the streets that would have ultimately left our futures hanging in the balance, a friend and I vowed to not become just another statistic. Instead we are trying to give our contribution back to society, and prevent our fellow peers from almost making the same mistake.

Our initial idea was to start a clothing line - something that would reflect our creativity, however being two young males with a lack of funds and resources acted as a bump in the road for this idea to progress and so we thought about an Online Motivational Youth Magazine. At first this seemed like a nonsensical idea,but then we realised there are a lot of young people who are not motivated enough to pursue their dreams or work hard to achieve the best they can and reach their maximum potential.

What could be better than receiving motivation and great advice from people roughly the same age as you who you can relate with. So we started ADS which stands for Aim High, Dream Big and Stay Fly; which aims to inspires young people while also keeping them up to date with the latest current affairs concerning them. One of the biggest issues is the media and how they portray the youth, focusing solely on the negatives which then impacts on how we see ourselves and just how little recognition is received for the good that is done. ADS is a platform for the youth by the youth giving each and everyone the opportunity to help them purse their dreams even if it's the last thing we do.

With some help we have been able to get a nice website up and running however it has been very hard to get the business to where we want it to be. At the end of this summer we are trying to launch of a lot things that will appeal to young people which relate to the aim of the website such as; youth events, career events, motivational interviews with aspirational people within the field they wanted to pursue and even a clothing line.
