Khomotion ,Mo for short, is my horse. On jan 3rd he had colic surgery at OSU at 4 in the morning .Mo recovered very nicelyexcept for a small infection which healed quickly. At 90 days we noticed a very small hernia and were told to watch it hoping it would not get bigger ,but it did .I took him back to OSU for a recheck and to look at the hernia which is now larger then a silver dollar .The only thing we can do now is surgery . He has to wear a belly band at all times and can not do much at all ,he has always loved to go places and be riden. You see Mo is my soul mate and he has saved my life ,when I was told that I was boarder line diabetic i knew I had to lose weight ( I had only owned Mo for 1 yr and had not riden him because I was way to heavy) andI so wanted to ride I lost over 70 lbs and thru this journey Mo was patient and forgiving always taking care of me . When he coliced I promised I would not let him die and I would always take care of him. The surgery is considered elective but needed for him to have a normal life. If you can find in your heart to help out both Mo and I would be so very greatful
