On Saturday March 7th, Robert left for work bright and early like every other morning prepared to open up the fast food restaurant he manages. About an hour later, his wife and mother were notified that he was found unresponsive in the parking lot of the restaurant. Scared, confused, and in a panic, Doctor's at Spring Valley Hospital revealed he suffered an Aortic Aneurysm and that Robert was being prepped for open heart surgery. With a mind full of unanswered questions and hearts full of Hope and Faith, his wife and mother waited 6hrs for the surgery to be completed. The dedicated team of doctors then informed them the surgery was a success and for now, Robert had a ventilator to help him breath. Within two days, Robert was able to wake up and get the ventilator removed. He was even able to call his wife and kids to let them know 'daddy will be coming home!' Thinking the hard part was over, his wife was able to return to work so they wouldn't get too behind on bills and their life could resume when he was discharged. The same day, she received a phone call from Robert's head nurse informing her that his lungs had collapsed and he stopped breathing. She and his mother raced to the hospital where Robert laid, back on the ventilator and now in a medically induced coma. Robert is STILL currently in ICU. On March 17th the ventilator was once again removed and now Robert is making his slow and steady progress towards recovery.

Robert isn't just a JohnDoe found unresponsive, he's a loving father of 7, a grandpa, and his family's main source of income. Even once discharged from the hospital, he will be out of work while he continues his Long Road to Recovery.

In addition to the normal bills and stress we all face, with more than 50% of their total income gone, and work hours being cut or eliminated completely due to the COVID-19 epidemic, this family needs any and all help they can get.

Whether you're able to assist the family's faith with prayer or financial hardship, any contribution is beyond greatly appreciated.
