Background

College can be a difficult and stressful transition.  For newly enrolled freshman this is often the first time away from home and for the upper classes, the time and distance away from family can be a burden.  That is why as a student representative I am dedicated  to increase morale, welfare, and recreation of the student body.   There are outlets for relief of stress, such as a Sponsor programs, where families in the local area sponsor students and give them a place to relax and a home cooked meal.  However, the majority of time is spent on campus and with the daily grind of academics, athletics, and extra curricular programs it is just as important as the representative to brighten their day, even if it is just one smile at a time.

Goal

My goal is to develop student cohesion through  events and create and environment free from stressors. Funds, in order to have these events, are obtained through a snack store in the dorm in order to raise money which is put right back into the dorm and create events to bring everyone together.  However, the snack store only provides marginal profit, if any at all, to be used for these events to bring people from around the world together.  Therefore this fundraising is an effort to receive generous donations to be strictly used for the dorm students and increase morale and welfare and to allow the students to focus on the important things such as developing as tomorrow's leaders today. Anything helps and thank you
