Campaign Story
My aunt, Ramona Gamboa, was diagnosed with a Motor Neurone Disease last September 2017 and has been recently confirmed that she has ALS.
Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS), also known as Motor Neurone Disease (MND) and Lou Gehrig's Disease, is a specific disease which causes the death of neurons controlling voluntary muscles. It is characterized by stiff muscles, muscle twitching, and gradually worsening weakness due to muscles decreasing in size. This results in difficulty in speaking, swallowing, and eventually breathing.
Monna's ALS symptoms started with the throat. She is having a hard time speaking and swallowing already. Though she can still walk and move her limbs. She is now confined at the UST hospital because she is severely malnourished. She has been ordered by the doctors to insert a feeding tube through her stomach so she can "eat".
Besides the said procedure, medications for this kind of illness, such as Riluzole and Baclofen, are not readily available in the Philippines and are very expensive.
Any amount to help us with her treatment and medications will be very much appreciated.

My first symptoms of ALS occurred in 2011, but was diagnosed in 2013. I had severe symptoms ranging from shortness of breath, balance problems, couldn’t walk without a walker or a power chair, i had difficulty swallowing and fatigue. I was given medications which helped but only for a short burst of time, then i decided to try alternative measures and began on ALS Formula treatment from Akanni herbal centre , It has made a tremendous difference for me (Visit www. akanniherbalcentre .com). I had improved walking balance, increased appetite, muscle strength, improved eyesight and others.
