Campaign Story
Monkey is a lovable, snuggly, hunk of a cat who has never met a dog he didn't like.
We are his adoring acolytes who decided to adopt a dog from the local shelter. When we found a sweet girl who seemed a good fit, we discovered she had a sister who she was strongly bonded with and we couldn't bear to separate them. Everything was good until the next morning when we went to let the girls out of their kennel for playtime in the back yard. Monkey happened to be on his way to the kitchen for breakfast and caught the eyes of the girls. They made a beeline for him and he didn't know that they were going to get rough.
Before we could get them separated, they had bitten his lower jaw, tearing his lip, breaking a tooth and doing significant damage to his gums and jaw.
The vet bills for the repair and recovery are over $2,000 and we could use all the help we can get. Every little bit helps and even if you can't contribute your good thoughts and sharing of this fundraiser are infinitely appreciated.

Day 4 of my captivity...
Update posted by Wendy Perez at 04:58 pmMonkey had surgery on Tuesday to repair the extensive damage to his hard palate, lip and jaw. There was already a hefty infection started so the surgeon had to remove the infected tissue. We brought him home on some potent painkillers so he was supwr loopy and almost his usual. . . . .
