Campaign Story
In Singapore, there are more than 50,000 underprevileged Elderly staying alone, without next of kin. This results in increasingly number of Elderly that passed away at home for days without being discovered.
We are a group of concerned citizens that work closely with various VWOs ( Voluntary Welfare Organisations) in Singapore and we would like to raise funds for 250 staying alone, underprevileged elderly to install a home monitoring system which enable the volunteers to go over check on them when non motion is detected after a period of time. This system has also a duress button in which the Elderly can use to call for assistance.
The Elderly will also need some basic care, (shower, grooming, cleaning up the home) in which any access funds will be use to buy the necessary items and pay for transportation fees for the volunteers.
Our estimation is one Elderly will need app $600 per annum to put in the system and some basic care in place. We truly apreciate any amount of donation to assist us to help as many of the Elderly as possible.
