MONEY FOR A GREENHOUSE

PLEASE HELP ENRICH AND BRING NEW MEANING IN TO THE LIVES OF THESE YOUTHS  Halo, my name is James D. Ongwen. I am the patron of a group here in Uganda called Obukori Young Farmers (OYF). This is a group of youths who have come together to fight poverty using agriculture. Most Ugandan youths live below the UN poverty line. I like agriculture and I know that we can use agriculture to help these youths get out of extreme poverty. With my modest means, I managed to mobilize these youths to take it upon themselves to create their own better realities. They are all now so worked up. They no longer blame government, society, etc for their realities. Now they know that there are no real boundaries between them and those who are relatively better off. They know that, anything they can conceive, they can create. So my humble appeal to you is to please join me in guiding these youths. ARE THERE OPPORTUNITIES FOR THEM IN AGRICULTURE? The answer is "YES'. The population in Uganda is exploding creating a huge demand for food in the process. Secondly, many young people are moving to towns and cities in search of formal employment leaving only a hand full engaged in food production. This has created a huge market potential for farmers. WHAT DO THE EXPERTS SAY? I recently sought the advice of an expert. He said the current method of traditional agriculture that the youth group is using is simply perpetuating the vicious circle of poverty. He said the group is working hard alright, but members are not getting the financial rewards enough to develop them. He recommended GREENHOUSE market gardening. And now am here to ask you to please buy a greenhouse for these young people. HOW MUCH IS THE GREENHOUSE? Setting up one medium sized turnkey greenhouse unit here costs USD 5,000. We only need one medium sized greenhouse to start with. The proceeds from that one will be able to buy another within eight months. WHAT IS YOUR CONTRIBUTION AS THE PATRON? My contribution is as follows:           1. I have donated a piece of land for setting up the project           2. I have installed for them piped water for use in the greenhouse.           3. I have and will always help them in any other way I can. WHAT IS THE CONTRIBUTION OF THE GROUP?           1. The group has raised USD 1,000.           2. Any manual work needed for the construction of the greenhouse (land clearance, construction, etc). HOW MUCH DO THEY NEED FROM ME? The youth group needs your help. They need to raise the USD 4,000. All this money will be used to directly purchase the greenhouse and the accessories. Please help!
