All my life its been repeatedly pounded into me by so many ignorant people that money CAN’T buy happiness. Money CAN’T buy love. Money CAN’T buy good health. Sooo many people echo that and never hesitate to tell you too. BUT they are ALL WRONG…

…Money CAN buy ALL those things… and more

I’m creating this funding campaign to prove once and for all that MONEY CAN BUY HAPPINESS.

I was recently “inspired” by a fund-raising campaign mounted by an elite, privileged Sports identity. That person was earning millions of dollars a year and living a most privileged lifestyle for many years. However, he made some particularly bigoted and offensive announcements on social media and lost his playing contract and many sponsors as a result. He decided to contest the cancellation of his contracts in court. He still had many millions of dollars in personal wealth, but chose to fight it by raising over $3 Million (USD) in fund-raising… rather than dip into his own very deep pockets and assets. More aggravating about the whole thing was the fact that the target amount was reached too. People gave him money, meaning he could be totally unaffected by his own remarks and actions.

So I’ve decide now to start my own social experiment… and prove ONCE and FOR ALL… that money CAN buy happiness. I’ll also prove it can buy love and good health… and likely a number of other wonderful things too :) I’ll set the amount at the same level as that athlete… $3 Million (USD).

My grandfather, my father, my mother… they worked sooo hard all their lives (to a point of being workaholics). They never made it to having any wealth, but they were wonderful providers. I’ve worked hard too, taken some risks with a couple of businesses and unfortunately came out the other side with absolutely nothing left.

I’m NOT in the usual “attractive” demographic. I’m more the forgotten white male, pushing 60 now, single (divorced many years ago) a disability pensioner, no superannuation, living in poverty. I’ve made my mistakes in life, maybe more than most. I really don’t have any chance for the future now, I’ve missed my opportunities, time is running out and now I don’t have the resources either. I’m NOT feeling sorry for myself though and NOT giving up either. I really believe good things will happen for me. Though I admit I don’t know how right now :)

Don’t get me wrong though. There are many more needy people in this world, with far greater problems and horrible outlooks. I am no more deserving of a windfall than anyone, in fact probably much less than most. I have such a burning desire though to prove EVERYONE WRONG… by showing that MONEY CAN BUY HAPPINESS. It solves most problems in life actually.

I’ve always been a dreamer… positive and I am one of the few who truly appreciates the value of money. If I raise my target, it will not be squandered. Thankfully I am very intelligent, plus experienced in life now to know how to put it to its best use. Yes, buy a home for me to live in (nothing outlandish), a few investment properties to create ongoing income, a new car for sure, help some charities too… and along the way with all those things, I WILL prove that money CAN buy happiness. I’ll be able to afford to exercise more, eat healthier, shed 60 pounds, get fitter and buy the medicines I need too. Therefore proving that money CAN also buy better health.
