My mom had a brain aneurysm (nobody knew about it) and it raptured in March. Mom was rushed into a hospital for a surgery. Doctors successfully closed the aneurysm, which raptured again the next day and my mom had to undergo another brain surgery. After being in coma for weeks she started regaining her consciousness. She’s still paralyzed, can’t move nor speak. The insurance provides her 1 hour of rehabilitation 5 times a week in a hospital but it wasn’t enough, her condition wasn’t improving. We moved her into a private facility specializing in helping people in critical conditions.

Today (June 1st) I saw my mom for the first time since it all happened (visitations weren’t allowed due to Covid). She recognized me and my family and a teardrop run down her face. It made me drop to my knees... I was holding her hand the entire time and when I was saying she will get through this and has to be strong, she was squeezing my hand tighter. I think she wants us to know she’s fighting as hard as she can.

The treatments, rehabilitation, physical therapy, speech therapy, medication and nurses care cost about $5000 a month.
