Mom’s Hospital Bill

Our family faces another hardship. Our Mom, was recently diagnosed with Thyroid Malignancy and underwent Thyroidectomy Surgery. Our Dad had passed way over a year ago due to complications after surgery. I am the only one left to care and raise my 4 remaining young children. She is a mother of 8 children. She underwent the surgery after her doctor advised her to do, assuring that it will be quick and won't cost over 50,000 php. The surgery went through as planned last July 14th. We were told it would only take 8 hours. What happened next shocked us. The procedure took 18 hours and they found multiple lumps near the thyroid area. They were firmly entrenched and the doctors have difficulty removing them. The last, largest lump was removed this morning, yet another 8 hours of procedure was made. She has been in the ICU of Dr Yanga Hospital in Bocaue for the past two days and our bill went up to 223,000 php as of today.
