Mom’s Battle Against Stage 5 Chronic Kidney Disease

Please help us with my mom’s medical and operation expenses for the illness she’s been fighting for 4 years now.

She was diagnosed with Stage 5 End Stage Chronic Kidney Disease. Despite her illness, she still manages to work as a full-time Xray Technician at MedCiti Multispecialty and Diagnostic Center. I and my siblings are also working hard to attend to our family’s needs. However, our earnings are not enough to sustain her demanding illness.

She undergoes Hemodialysis after work, twice a week. I can only imagine her pain everytime she gets stuck with giant needles and gets bruises everytime. Aside from this, she also takes tons of medicines. We’ve already asked help from our government and other organizations but it still won’t suffice her medical expenses.

For 4 years of battling against this illness, her Doctor has already advised her to get a Kidney Transplant as soon as possible due to a very high creatinine level on her blood which denotes kidney failure. Before we get to the transplant proper, several laboratory tests are needed to be done to make sure the operation will be successful. This includes Tissue typing and other lab tests which costs almost 80,000php.

Once the transplant is done, she would still need to take anti-rejection drugs and other maintenance meds for few years which are also very expensive.
