Mommy’s Pillow Buddy

Hello everyone! My name is Fay, I'm from Colombia and I have been here for over 13 years. I'm a Wife and mother of two. And I have felt the fever of the entrepreneurship for the last couple of years, with so many ideas and finally decided to bring one of them to life!

My youngest child is over a year and the pregnancy I have to say is one of the most beautiful experiences that people can have. To share the gift of bringing life into this world is just a great feeling! and I thank God for that!

But so many mothers like me, have to admit that if they could change or add some comfort or relief will be about: the heavy weight in our backs from our little bundle of joy. Because, let's be honest, we are carrying this little sack of potatoes every day, everywhere and we don't have the chance to share the weight at all!

And the only way, to finally get some release, is laying down in bed or prayer position next to the bed.

It was during this painful time that I went thru that came the idea of the "Mommy's Pillow Buddy"

A pillow with the holes exactly for the breast, belly and breathing gap that I wanted to make so bad in my bed during pregnancy (and I couldn't)

But this pillow will not only allow the pregnant woman to get the relief so much needed, but also to get a nice massage. (not sideways!! but facedown! yay!!)

HOW FAR I AM?

It took me months looking for a manufacturer to do the last part, which is the cover over the foam because it requires hand sawing right at the end of the product and here in the US, no company would do it.

So, finally (and thank God) a manufacturer in Mexico called Calibaja was willing to do it. And got done my first 16 prototypes and they came out beautiful. As you see in the pictures.

Unfortunately, my loan run out during this process, (patent, foam, fabric, etc) and my husband helped me fund some of this but now I'm with my 16 prototypes and creating flyers for hotels, spas and hospitals to start knocking on doors.

MY CAMPAIGN is very important to me, because is my first step to entrepreneurship and to create an income that will help my family. I would like to help to create jobs, and help the economy. We can't get another loan, (I tried!)

Will move forward this product with producing inventory and update the website to start receiving orders.

MY GOAL $50.000

Is to buy the foam pre-cut already, buy the vinyl and then transport all materials to Calibaja, Mexico for the work (sawing) and delivery (bring back to us). is short but it takes lots of time and money. (because for some reason the border takes their time and charge to let product back and forth)

(plus the name printing on the side, plastic protection, tags, box for pillows)

Whatever is achieved will be to move forward in this dream. I can't stop now.

I started and God will open the doors someway, somehow. He promised and I believe it is true.
