Our mom, Teresita R. Doctolero was admitted at Sta. Maria Josefa Hospital Foundation, Iriga City since May 10, 2021 due to alarming symptoms of respiratory distress, fatigue and loss of appetite that's been going on for days. She was diagnosed with Acute Respiratory Failure and her breathing continued to be labored in spite of oxygen support, so she had to be hooked to a mechanical ventilator in ICU. Lab tests returned with shooting Creatinine count and prognosis was Chronic Kidney Disease. She also underwent a series of CT scan to check for Pneumonia and was also diagnosed with Pulmonary Hypertension. As of this writing, she's still in ICU under strict observation by the doctors. So far, here’s the list of procedures and tests that she needed to immediately undergo and is projected to continue in the next coming days: Chest X-Ray, Blood Chem, ECG, Ultrasound, Chest CT Scan, Plain Cranial CT scan, Pulmonary Angiogram and hemo dialysis. In the past days the hospital bills and expenses have reached beyond our Mom's savings and our financial capability to sustain. Hospital charges and medical expenses are expected to inflate the longer she stays in ICU.
