Hello everyone,

I am Danielle, from Rio de janeiro Brazil, and my mommy is Nea Vignoli, and her real life miracle story is the reason why I am reaching out to you:

My mom is a 67 y.o. sweet and very hardworking lady, whom has been an U.S. legal alien resident, for over 20 years and she loves America. She loves it so, that she has not been back to Brazil, not even to visit, in all this time, mainly because she never had enough money to take a proper vacation.

But, this year, back in March 24, our lives took a terrible turn, when I received dreadful phone call from overseas, telling me that my mother had been victim of a terrible accident in which she was hit and dragged under a small truck for thirty feet and was rushed to the hospital, sustainning massive internal injuries and hanging on for dear life.. I was in shock and the thought of perhaps losing her and never being able to see her again, just devasted me.

It was a very distressing ordeal, and for all these months I suffered with her suffering and cried tears of pain and agony, specially when my visa was denied and I helplessly realized I was not going to be able to be by her side, at all at the time she most needed me. Today (25/10), it has been seven long years since I was in the U.S. and have seen her last. Also today, it has been exact seven months, since she entered that hospital's ER (my forever gratitude to Hackensack Medical in NJ) with a tiny chance of survival and now, after a long and pain staking road to recovery, she is finally somewhat rehabilitated (!) and out of the hospital. Due to the severity of the accident, and the long period she had to stay hospitalized, she lost her (rental) apartment and is currently living with a kind friend whom offered to take care of her after her release, as she has lost sight in one of her eyes, partial movement of her left arm as doctors almost had to amputate it, and has some difficulty to walk, but SHE IS ALIVE. And that's all that matters, after all she endured, it all seems minimum, so that is why I now proudly call her my "miracle warrior mommy", as she won the biggest, uggliest battle in/for her LIFE.

And so, here I am today to gladly share our story and humbly ask for your help in getting her to me. Another special thing about mommy is that her birthday is on Christmas Eve (12/24/1950), and this has always been so symbolic to me, however, now it took up a whole new meaning, because she's also been reborn this year, and so it would just be amazing to be able to spend and celebrate it with her here in Brazil, more than it already has always been. Unfortunately I cannot afford to do so, as I only make about the equivalent of $800,00 (U.S. dollars) and plane tickets are very expensive over the holidays. Plus, she would need a non-stop flight and comfort seats at a minimum to be able to withstand the long tiring haul (nine hour flight) and other expenses while she's here and I would really love her to have a first and much well deserved (and needed) vacation with lots of TLC. I also wanna take this opportunity and make sure to express my gratitude to this wonderful country which is America, and its doctors whom helped save her life in order for me to even be here, asking you to play Santa's helpers, because ALL I WANT FOR CHRISTMAS IS MOMMY!

Thank you so much for helping or even just for reading our story and GOD BLESS you all!
