Campaign Story
Our main objective is to ensure women in rural communities have access to healthcare when they most need it. We are therefore developing MomaGo, Buea’s first minibus service that facilitates medical care for pregnant women and new mothers by transporting women to clinics for antenatal and post-natal visits.
We have managed to raise some of the funds to keep the MomaGo in motion! However, we still need some support from the community to kickstart the project. By donating to our project, you will be ensuring the following:
- REDUCING MATERNAL DEATHS: by ensuring women are receiving check-ups during pregnancy and after birth
- REDUCING NEWBORN DEATHS: healthy pregnancy means the baby is less likely to develop complications, leading to a healthy birth
- IMPROVING HEALTH FACILITIES: providing patients to the clinics means that the clinics are able to improve their facilities, which benefits the entire community
- GIRLS IN SCHOOLS: helping women in rural areas stay healthy means their daughters don’t have to take on domestic roles and leave school early
