Hi my name is Stefan, we adopted this beautiful dog named Mojo from an elderly couple about 2 years ago, and we have come to love him so so much, he is part of our little family now.

About 5 months ago he was diagnosed with diabetes, so he gets his injections twice a day with his meals, as you know diabetic dog have to get special food and insulin.

So over last couple of months he started to go blind, its very sad, because Mojo never stops playing, he was always running around playing with his toys, bringing the ball for you to throw it for him, he will play for hours non stop, but lately he cant play anymore because of his vision, so we took him to the vet and they said that cataracts started to form on his eyes and that he will need surgery.

They estimated the cost between $2700 to $4000. We cant afford to pay for the surgery in time and that's why we started the crowdfund to ask for your help to let our Mojo see again. It kills me to see him not being able to run anymore, he does play with his squeaky football sometimes, then i will play tug of war with him so he can have that little joy again.

Here is some details regarding the operation:

The dog cataract surgery success rate is approximately 90%.

The cost of cataract surgery for dogs averages $2,700-4,000. This estimate includes the preliminary examination, ERG and ultrasound, surgery, anesthesia, operating room use, hospitalization, initial medications and postoperative checkups (usually up to 90 days). Surgical costs, however, can vary pretty widely based on your location and service provider.
