Moeys Eczema Treatment

Thank you for visiting our page. We started this page for our son Moey . If you know him then you know of his medical history. For those who don't, let me tell you about Moey. For six years sweet moey has dealt with pompholyx eczema. Pompholxy also known as dyshidrotic eczema is a type of eczema that affects the hands and feet that blisters and causes irritation. Throughout the years we have tried pretty much every treatment out there approved for children. We have gone from over the counter medications, prescription creams steroid immune suppressant medications, home remedies, photo dermatology, insurmountable doctors visits etc. all to to try to bring him some relief. A few have worked for a bit, but then seem to stop shortly thereafter. Due to the aggressiveness of the eczema, he has had to miss school due to his inability to walk or write due to the eczema on his feet and hands.

In April moeys hand and feet flared up with eczema and this time had spread from his neck down. we had taken him to the dermatologist and were prescribed topical steroid creams, antibiotics and also immune suppressant creams to help suppress eczema from further inflammation to his skin. 3 weeks into treatment, his eczema seemed to slowly heal. however come the 4th week his eczema outbreak had started. We had returned and consulted the same dermatologist and were prescribed the same medication. It is now July, and my son is still suffering, his skin is cinstantly itchy. There are nights were we barely sleep as we are up trying to help soothe the irritation. I stopped applying the steroids as we have constantly being using it on my sons skin and the eczema has gotten used to it. it just does not work.

It has been quite a journey over the 6 years in moeys life. We are praying to get to end of what seems to be a long bumpy ride. It has been stressful for my husband and I as we have spent so much on medical bills we are almost financially unstable and are running out of hope.

We have been praying that this long journey will be cut short, we have been able to find a naturopathic doctor, who is based here in the Philippines who can help treat moeys condition but my husband and I are not afford to pay to treatment as the treatment, care and the medical bill is quite expensive. There were also other doctors who are based in USA who can help but we are not able to afford to pay for the trip due to the expense and also because of the flight hours. So finding the best doctor locally who was the best solution so it would be easy moving from home to the hospital and also it is the best option for us financially.
