Mocha’s Surgery

Mocha is a 12-week old kitten that we rescued from the woods behind our house. We heard his meowing and pulled him out from under a fallen tree limb. After nursing him back to good health we realized he had a hard growth on the left side of his stomach. A $200 vet visit and x-ray revealed that he has a tumor growing on his left kidney. The doctor said he has never seen a softball-sized tumor in any cat, let alone one so young. It has been growing since he was born. It has to be surgically removed before it gets too much bigger, or it will push the rest of his internal organs so far to the side that he won't live much longer and will be in even more pain. The ultrasound is to determine how attached it is to his kidney and help to decide whether they will be able to remove just the tumor or if they will have to take the kidney as well. We don't have the money to cover such expenses, but we want to help our kitten live as long as possible. Please help us save our kitten!!
