The last band concert of the year is always a special one. As part of the show, the graduating seniors find a touching and unique way to pay tribute to Mr. Stevens, an amazing man that has been a defining figure in their middle and high school careers. This year on May 13th, the last concert of the year, it will be an even bigger event. This spring concert will be the last time in 34 years that Mr. Stevens takes the helm and guides the Monument Band (concert and jazz) through an unforgettable night of music.
The students and parents of Monument Band are hoping to send Mr. Stevens out in style. You are receiving this note because you are someone who, at one point or another, has been a part of Mr. Stevens' magic. We enthusiastically invite you to the concert (5/13 at 7:30 pm) and also ask that you consider making a monetary donation to help the cause.
The school has generously donated the use of the cafeteria and custodial staff, but we are still in need of money to cover food, decorations, t-shirts, and other fun surprises we have in store. Any leftover money after expenses will be donated into the Band account to help fund future programming for the students. No amount is too small. Together we can create a night he won't forget.
Please feel free to give money to Leslie Mitchell or Corey Sprague, or donate online HERE.
