Mitchells Plain Hospital Nolie Bear

We are trying to raise money to upgrade the play area in our paediatric ward at the Mitchells Plain Hospital, which serves an impoverished community ravaged by HIV, TB and drug abuse. In order to achieve this, we are in the process of raffling a large, hand made Teddybear, which stands almost 2m tall, which was donated by the family of a young man who died of leukaemia just over a year ago, and had himself been raising funds for underprivileged children.

We are hoping to sell 1000 tickets at R50 each (just over $3), and all funds used will go towards this goal. If you wish donate by buying a raffle ticket, but don’t want the bear, be assured that we will still make good use of it. ‘Safeline’ an NGO which supports children who have been the victims of sexual abuse, will gladly use the bear in their play area at one of the local magistrate courts
