Campaign Story
My name is Jaime, I am 43 and from Davison, MI. In March, I have another opportunity to go and share God's love and the Gospel of Jesus in Guatemala. I went to Guatemala on a missions trip 2 years ago & it truly changed me. I think most of us take for granted what we have and how blessed we are. Our team will be going to an orphanage in San Marcos, Guatemala. San Marcos, just recently was hit by a major earthquake. There was a lot of damage and so far 100 people have lost their lives. None of the children at the orphanage were injured in the earthquake. However, the building did suffer some structural damage and is need of repairs. They are also at maximum capacity and there are many, many more children that are in need of help. Many of the children at Canica were living on the streets or were rescued from situations involving abuse or neglect. The orphanage is connected with a local church, so all the children get a christian education. That is such a blessing to these children because, without the orphanage, church and school, they would be abandoned and living on the street to fend for themselves. We will be doing some construction on the building to repair damage and also expand the size of the orphanage. The best part of going to the orphanage is getting to love on all the children. I am writing to ask for your support. Whenever God is at work, the enemy is also at work seeking to undo what God has done. Would you please include us on your prayer list?
