My name is Amy Pike. I am a 20 year old Christian woman living in South Africa. My father is a minister of a small church in Howick, KwaZulu Natal, and so I have always grown up in a Christian home and enjoyed experiencing God's love for myself and growing my relationship with Him through the death of His Son Jesus. In 2010, we had a visitor from a man named Gerhard, who is a Christian missionary in China. I became fascinated with the idea of missionary work, and bringing God's love and salvation to people groups who are oppressed and unable to enjoy the hope that He has for us. From 2010 till today, I have felt the unexplainable desire to reach the people living in North Korea. This country is extremely hostile to Westerners, to Christians, and to anyone disloyal to their "Good Leader", Emperor Kim Jong-un. For this reason, I will probably have to work on the borders of China in order to reach the people of North Korea, and for the past year have been teaching myself both the Chinese and Korean languages.

Recently, Gerhard, our missionary friend, heard of my passion, and invited me to spend a month with him working in his underground church in China. This is an extremely valuable opportunity, as I would need to gain experience working in a country that is 'closed' and hostile to the gospel, in order to gain skills that may ensure my survival in North Korea. Unfortunately, I do not have the money yet, but any assistance at all would be so appreciated. Thank you.
