The Mexico mission team from Ni River Community Church (NRCC) and I have returned home from San Luis Rio Colorado. I am so grateful to have been blessed with this opportunity, but sad that I had to leave my heart in Mexico. My heart is so heavy, and I am desperate to continue God’s work by going back to Mexico in April and October of 2015.

During the Mexico mission trip, we were able to reach out and spread the gospel to the people of Mexico. The area was very low poverty, but yet there was so much peace within the border town. Eli House is such a blessing from God, and provides a safe haven for the children. It is truly inspiring.

While God has opened up a door for me, again, to develop a greater heart of compassion for His people around the world, the exciting part is that you will be able to share in this compassion in several ways.

First, you can help pray for me, and my fellow team members; prayers that God will prepare us for our visit and bless our efforts as we minister to the people of Mexico. We will also need prayers that our financial needs will be met.

Another way you can be involved is to help provide that financial support. Would you consider supporting me with a donation? Please know that your gift would be an investment in someone’s eternity. No gift is too small, and all are greatly appreciated. Donations are tax deductible. Whether you feel led to contribute financially, through prayer, or both, all of your support is appreciated.

I look forward to continuing God's work in Mexico. Even if you can’t support me financially I would greatly appreciate your prayerful support of me, my church, and that Christ will greatly change the lives of the people in Mexico. Thank you for your time in reading this and I hope you have a blessed day.

Below is my testimony about the Eli House Mission that I wrote when I returned from Mexico (it can also be found on the Eli House website under short-term mission trips):

"I feel very blsessed to have had the opportunity to work with Dave and the Eli House Mission with a mission team from NRCC in April, 2014. During this trip we were able to assist Dave (the executive director of Eli House) by reaching out and spreading the gospel to the people of Mexico. The area was very low in poverty, but yet there was so much peace within the border town. The people of Mexico were very open and eager to hear the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We were also blessed with being able to witness seven baptisms take place while we were there.

In Mexico, I was able to see something remarkable. I saw the price in people's facess as they opened their homes to us when we visited them. While visiting with them, I didn't notice the dirt floors or the darkness during the light of day because of the lack of electricity. I noticed the love, strength, and hope of Jesus Christ that all of the individuals had.

While spending time with Dave and hearing his story about how Eli House Mission became located in San Luis Rio Colorado, Mexico, I kept being reminded that Go dis the one who is always in control, always faithful, always merciful, and always powerful. He is alive in Dave, the Eli House Mission, and it's journey!! Eli House is such a blessing from God, and provides a safe haven for the children. It is truly inspiring and is a life changing experience that is and will continue to produce changed lives such as myself.

I am blessed and incredibly grateful to be able to provide for my sweet child in Mexico named Antonia. I send her packages and letters as often as I can, and am sponsoring her so that she can attend Eli House Mission and get the education and life that she deserves. She is such a sweet baby, and I can't wait to be reunited with all of the people in Mexico again next year. This place is truly a blessing!"
