We will be participating in a medical mission trip to the Dominican Republic in September! Our main duties will involve running/assisting nutrition centers and providing health assessments for families. The patients will consist of individuals needing typical well-checks, as well as a good amount of sick ones. We will be bringing our own medications (antibiotics, antifungals, vitamins, dewormers etc.), which will be purchased from mission companies.
The agency we will be traveling/working with is G.O. Ministries, a non-profit organization. Through local leaders, G.O. Ministries serves thousands of people in the Dominican Republic, Haiti, Mongolia, Colombia and urban America. They do so primarily through church planting, nutrition centers, medical clinics, sports outreach, primary schools, ongoing training, water purification projects, and kingdom businesses.
The trip is estimated to cost around $2,000/person. We are all college students/recent grads; therefore, we could really use some help raising the money. Likewise, we are all aspiring to be future physicians or physician assistants. This mission trip is a tremendous opportunity for us all to obtain some hands-on experience, serving in an underserved area. ALL donations will go towards medications, supplies, and travel/housing expenses. If in the case we raise more than our goal of $6,000, we will donate the excess money to the G.O. Ministries organization.

Thanks in advance for all of your help and support!
