Hello!
First off, thanks for taking the time to see what Aaron and myself are up too! This is strange creating a page like this, but I feel like it’s totally necessary! So let’s get to it!
We were recently asked by our church (Legacy church) To join the 2019 missions trip to Tegucigalpa, Honduras! Some of you may have been on a mission trip or multiple before, some of you may not have, and some of you might have been waiting for an opportunity like this your whole life like we have! Our moment has come and there was no way we’d say no OR be any more excited than we are.
From July 15th-21st of this upcoming summer, we will be working alongside 10 other church members through our “One child matters” partnership to serve (provide meals, education, medical needs etc) and teach them how to lead a life full of Christ to overcome their circumstances in this povershed community, as well as teach VBS, conduct various sports camps, and empower the children and staff to lead a life full of Christ. This trip is only a week but we pray it’s the beginning of MANY more to come!
If you know us at all, you know that children are the center of our world, having four of our own and working in the field of pediatrics we can’t get enough. When we discovered that our mission trip was specifically focused on children, we just knew it was what we were suppose to do.
So what all of this boils down too is we need your help. We need prayers above all else for safe travels, our safety while we are there, as it’s not exactly the safest place to be, and prayers for the children and family’s we encounter! While we know god is a huge fan of these trips, a lot of others aren’t and thats ok. It’s not a vacation we’re taking it’s a calling we’re attending too. If any of you could donate anything (literally even if it’s just $1) to help Aaron, myself and our church make this trip possible we will forever be grateful and will keep you posted on our trip!
