Mission Trip to Haiti

Hello! My name is Ziomara Tirado and I would like to share about an exciting opportunity I’ve been given, that is, a mission trip to Haiti. I believe deeply that I can make a difference in this world by loving people like God does, and in God’s economy, every act of love counts—every smile, every kind word, and every thoughtful deed.

This incredible experience that opens eyes, softens hearts, empowers service, and changes lives is just what it sounds like -- a trip with a specific mission. According to Scripture, the mission isn't necessarily giving handouts to the poor or even aiding long-term missionaries in their work, it's also about sharing the Gospel.

I plan on going to Haiti on October 31 – November 8, 2017 with Seeds of Hope Worldwide Missions where I get to act out this love that I’m describing and share the Gospel. I will also be providing for the needs of the less fortunate and working diligently to help enhance the lives of many families who are struggling with basic needs.

So going wasn’t a hard decision. When it comes down to it, Jesus laid out a pretty simple religion for us, didn’t He? Love God, love others, and love ourselves. Nope, deciding to go was easy. Paying for it however, is a real challenge. Since I am going full-time graduate student, I am trying to raise as much of my total cost as I can to decrease my out of pocket expenses. Will you consider helping me with my trip?
