Mission Education is an initiative to continue the education of underprivileged children across India by Smile Foundation.

The organisation works for the holistic development of children, by providing them quality education and healthcare under its Mission Education programme. So far 200,000 children have been directly benefitted under Mission Education.

But this is not enough. 8 million children in India are still out of school.

Last year 19,000 children were sent to school under Smile Foundation’s Mission Education programme. These children are mostly either homeless, orphaned, abandoned, runaways, or belong to extremely poor families. At Mission Education centres, they are not only provided education, but also nurtured in a loving and caring environment, conducive for their holistic growth.

The annual education and healthcare cost for a child is INR. 6000. This includes the teaching learning material, two sets of uniform, nutrition, regular health check-ups and referrals. But many other qualitative aspects like access to libraries and computer education, training of the teachers to make the learning process effective, exposure visits to educational and recreational spaces and participation in co-curricular activities are also considered under this cost.

Below is a A REAL STORY!

Be a part of Mission Education campaign and giving these children a chance to get out of the vicious cycle of poverty, ignorance and suffering.
