I am a 4th grade teacher and I absolutely love my job. Every single day I am with my students is an opportunity to make a positive impact on their lives. It’s an honor to be a part of such a rewarding profession.

A little about me....

Like many other people, I headed to college straight out of high school without a clue about what I wanted to do with my life. I spent thousands of dollars each semester, trying to find my calling. Finally, I graduated with a degree in Spanish. Although I was proud that I had graduated, I was still unsure of what I wanted to do now that I had a degree.

I worked many years as a nanny and a waitress, barely making ends meet. Then, my mom suggested I apply for a preschool teaching position. I ended up landing the job and completely fell in live with teaching! Seeing the joy in those little faces when they learned something new was indescribable. Yay! I had found my calling!

One problem. In order to be a certified teacher, I needed to go back to college. So I did. I earned a masters degree in elementary education and was hired this year!

My student loans have now reached almost $50,000 and I make $35,000 a year. My monthly loan payment is nearly half of my monthly salary. This is why I have created this campaign. Even the smallest donation from you would make a difference.

My hope is that one day, I will have paid these loans off and I can come back to this website and help others who are in my same situation.
