Miss Universities SA 2017 finalist Thembeka Mnisi

I am a 3rd year Medical laboratory Science student at Cape Peninsula University of Technology ,Bellville Campus. I am from a small town in Limpopo, Giyani.

I entered a competition (MISS UNIVERSITIES SOUTH AFRICA 2017) and I am now one of the finalists. I will be representing my institution and my community in East London on the 30th of September 2017.

Miss Universities South Africa is an innovative ,international pagaent which seeks to promote women ,beauty with brains and education. It aims to inspire life long advanced knowledge and to strengthen our communities.

I did not enter this pagaent just for the fun of it or for the prices but I see it as a platform to get more exposure for an organisation a few of my friends and I started working on a few months ago (Golden Gratitude Organisation ) which aims at improving different communities through recreational activities and assisting the less fortunate and schools where needed and also reaching out to my fellow students and making them aware of the good they may do by being involved in their various communities .

During the course of the pagaent, we are required to raise funds which will also assist us with our transport and everything else needed per individual for the pagaent and also be involved in charity projects, I currently carried out one which was for donating blankets where I managed to get 54 blankets.
