Miracle Miya

Baby Mireya Belle, Miya for short, is the long-awaited little angel of Mommy Em and Daddy Belden. She was too excited to see the world that she came out of her Mummy’s tummy only after 24 weeks. She only weighs 600 grams and can’t even open her eyes yet. Her skin is paper-thin, and her limbs are only as thick as her Daddy’s fingers. Her major organs like her brain, heart, lungs, and gut are not yet fully developed. She needs a little help breathing and staying warm as her tiny body can’t do that on her own just yet. In as much as Mommy Em wants to provide Miya with her own breast milk, Miya’s tiny gut can only take the nutrients via a tube passing through her belly button. Despite all these, she remains beautiful and strong, and is fighting very hard to stay alive to explore more of this wonderful world.

Mommy Em and Daddy Belden, along with their family and friends, want to give Miya the best chance possible. They want to give her the best care, but the best care comes with a steep price. Their pooled resources are not enough to support all of Miya’s financial needs, since Miya is looking at at least a 2-3 month stay in the hospital before she can safely go home with her parents.
