On 31 May 2017 I was involved in a car accident when a Freight truck turned into my car causing extensive damage to my Atos Prime.

Driving in the left lane, I indicated that I was going to turn left at the stop street. A freight truck was in the lane (right) next to me. After stopping at the STOP street, I proceeded to turn left at which time I saw in my right-side mirror that the truck driver was also proceeding in a left turn. I noticed that the truck was too close to make the turn successfully and the next moment the truck drove into the driver’s side of my car, crushing my car’s right side mirror and the door of the driver’s side.

While waiting, a train approached and bystanders managed to stop the train well in time. The driver of the truck, however, got back into the truck, and drove the truck forward which resulted in more damage to my car. By driving the truck forward, the truck damaged the rear of my car and smashed the rear window.

I do not have vehicle insurance.I use my car not only for personal use, but for business purposes as well. I am a photographer. Without transport I can not generate an income because I can not get to clients for photo-shoots. I am also taking care of my grandchildren during the day while their mother is at work and have no means now to transport my grandson back and forth to school, ect and in case of a medical emergency I will not be able to transport my grandchildren to a medical practitioner and/or hospital.

I have an attorney attempting to resolve to have my car fixed by the truck company but after 2 months, the negotiations is still ongoing.

For the past 2 months since the accident I have not been able to generate any income. I also had to borrow money to be able to pay for legal fees, ectI

I kindly appeal to anyone who is in a position to make a donation, no matter how small, to please help me raise the needed amount to have my car fixed.

I have uploaded 2 of the quotations I received. It should give an estimate on the damage on the car although the quotations have expired already because of the time limit. (Screen captures under photo's)
