Our Mission
Mindful Ways community-based Doula and Women's Wellness Project belives that every women deserves guideance during the birthing journey and beyond, through continuum emotional, physical and spiritual support.
Mindful Way Services is an innovative project, dedicated to providing strong community-based support for women through pregnancy, birth, postpartum, parenting and wellness. We have provided services to pregnant women and their families in the Santa Clara area for many years and are in the beginning stages, in transitioning to a non-profit.
We offer functional and contiuum support for women of child baring years.The birth of a baby is a very transformational time for women and is a tremendous opportunity to support families in getting the best start in life. Through our progressive doula care, wellness project and educational classes, we achieve better health outcomes, strengthen mother-baby bonding, and increase prenatal elf-advocacy skills.
Mindful Way's unique services include 4-6 home visits beginning during pregnancy, attendance at the birth of the baby and ongoing support. We provide referrals and early parenting education up to two years after a baby is born. We also provide home visits by trained counselors to support breastfeeding. In all of our services, we carefully match clients to care providers form the same community whenever possible, and we have the capacity to work with clients in different languages. We understand the
importance of the Whole Mom and have services to support the mind, body and spirit-through hypnotherapy, massage therapy and reki. Our work is foundational for maternal-infant health and early learning efforts.
Mindful Ways goal for the year 2013 is to serve 75-100 families in the Santa Clara area. our services support and care for low income families at a pivotal time when the positive impact is most profound-and when the cost of being unsupported can be equally profound.
Rewards
Sponor's a mom for our extended Outreach program, that starts with mom during the early pernatal stage and up to 2 years postpartum.
