Campaign Story
Warm Greetings!
I’m Neil Muncal a healthcare professional, son of Marifi and Rodolfo Muncal and the youngest of 4 siblings presently residing at Santolan, Pasig humbly asking for your support financially and more importantly, spiritually. Please continue to pray for my Mom as she will undergo intense oral chemotherapy.
My Mom was first diagnosed with Stage 4 colorectal cancer on November 2017 where part of her colon with tumor was removed. The operation was successful but she needed to temporarily secrete her waste via Stoma to give the bowel a temporary rest, then will be reattached after it heals.
Unfortunately, on 2018, doctors found out that the cancer already metastasized to her liver. Mom was diagnosed again with early stage of Liver Cancer. She underwent several intense chemo sessions and treatments for the past couple of years. Because of this, we needed to combine all our incomes, sold food online and tried different gimiks to sustain her medical needs and to have enough money to pay our monthly hospital bills. We are also so blessed to have our Titas and relatives during this battle. They never let us feel that we’re alone on this most challenging time.
After several treatments, sadly, the tumor in her liver continue to grow until she is stage 4 cancer patient again. None of the treatments seem to work and the tumor is not responding well in the process. The doctor advised to take a much stronger medicine which is the TS1, an imported medicine from Japan. Stronger medicine also means an expensive one.
Mom needs to undergo 6 cycles of TS1 medicine. Per cycle costs Php 84,000 a total of Php 504,000 for 6 cycles. We tried to ask for financial help from different government agencies we know that help cancer patients but our requests just got rejected due to a high demand to this medicine caused by the Pandemic. (Please see attached supporting documents below)
We humbly knock on your hearts to seek financial support for the medication of my Mom. Whatever the amount that the Lord leads you to give, small or big, we will appreciate it. After all, it is not the amount that really counts but the heart that you pour on giving.
For accountability purposes, please see attached supporting documents below for proof of her current condition and needed medication. You may also contact her specialist to verify.
