Millie’s Walk for Worcester City FC

On December 28th 2014, a young Worcester City supporter Millie Gaffey, will be walking from Worcester to the Boxing Day football fixture at Tamworth, a distance of 40 miles. This walk is in aid of the Worcester City Supporters Trust scheme to build a Community owned sports hub at Perdiswell in Worcester, and bring Worcester City FC back home to Worcester. The Community Sports Hub will engage will all parts of the Worcester population, including bringing sports to the aged (walking football) as well as working with Sport and Mental Health.Millie is only 16, but a fervent supporter of sport in Worcester, and a dedicated member of the Supporters Trust. She will be joined on the walk by fellow WCFCST member Niels Eirikson. Funds raised will allow the dedicated volunteers at the Supporters Trust to fund the planning applications for a new football grouind, together with a range of sporting and community facilities at Perdiswell. Costs for the planning application are presently being met by individuals, and Millie is really doing her bit to help us, I hope you can do your bit to help her.
