Help with Milk for Infants in YEMEN

Hello my name is Roseli Rayo and I have created this campaign to help raise awareness on the Famine crisis happening in Yemen , devastating that most innocent..infants and children.

Here is some background information on the Crisis and conflict in Yemen : "Yemen is experiencing one of the world's largest, most complex humanitarian crises. Almost the entire population—22.2 million people—requires humanitarian assistance. Conflict has led to the internal displacement of over 2 million people, left 1.25 million public sector workers without pay for a year, and undermined access to ports and airports, obstructing essential humanitarian and commercial deliveries. In addition, 16 million people lack access to safe water and there are over 1 million suspected cases of acute watery diarrhoea (AWD) and cholera. The outbreak has been exacerbated by the collapse of public systems, which are further strained by fuel shortages. More than 1,100 children have been killed or maimed and millions more are threatened by growing food insecurity, poor water and sanitation and the spread of preventable diseases. The recent spread of diphtheria is another grave concern. Lack of livelihood opportunities has given rise to desperate coping mechanisms, including increased household borrowing and rising rates of child marriage and recruitment of children into armed forces and groups. An estimated 400,000 children under 5 years will suffer from severe acute malnutrition (SAM) in 2018, and the damage or closure of schools and health facilities will threaten children's development for years to come."

These mothers and often single fathers are the sole providers and caretakers of innocent young children, sometimes it is an older sibling caring for the rest. With the current blockade many are sadly experiencing DESPERATION and are forced to go through painful hunger. Medicine is not affordable for many of the parents taking their Children for treatment. It is heartbreaking to see the mothers and fathers cry at the news of their infants' death.

Personally, I have already had a partnership and been a volunteer to Fundraise with a grassroots Yemeni team around May through June 29. I sent $50 and raised $374 so that they may buy medicine /food for Children in need and I mentioned to them " If anyone needs diapers let me know and I will try to help with that also". When the grassroots team received my donation they set out to buy medicine and were also able to buy diapers for a small disabled child. Photographs were sent to me showing the Children receiving the medications as well as pictures with current date stamps. We can't do this alone, Yemen can not be ignored.

There are many babies starving to DEATH , because of this we appeal to your humanity and ask for your help to be able to feed infants, for just $4.50 you can buy a can of formula that will feed an infant for about a week, while here in the U.S.A one can of formula goes for about $18.00 and lasts the same amount of time..whith those $18.00 You and I together can feed an infant for a MONTH.

Every time this campaign reaches $100 or close I will send it to IMMEDIATELY buy milk for the child patients / food for the hungry.

There are many non-profit Yemeni organizations trying to feed babies who are starving, showing signs of malnourishment and that have not been receiving milk from their mothers due to the war and stress. New team attempts will focus on areas surrounding hospitals where mother's frequent with infants and toddlers and we will be collecting donations to purchase milk formula to gift the mothers so that they may feed their children if possible water/diapers/or medicine will be bought as well. You may specify where you want your Donation used.
