FUND RAISING FOR CANCER SCREENING AND TREATMENT IN MEMORY OF MY MOTHER "FEROZA KHAN":

My mother was diagnosed with Myeloid Leukemia (blood cancer) in 1992 and suffered for a long period of time. The lack of availability of proper cancer drug products in Bangladesh was a major challenge.

The sad fact is Bangladesh doesn’t have the necessary infrastructure to treat cancer patients with new investigational drugs. It was really painful for us to see our mother struggle. In 2004, our mom passed away and we felt our life came to a standstill. We felt adrift in the middle of an ocean!!! But my mom’s death didn’t stop us from continuing to fulfil her dream to build a hospital to treat cancer patients.

We have fulfilled part of my mother's dreams by building Feroza Clinic, Feroza Nursing Home, Medical Training Assistant School and President Abdul Hamid Medical College and Hospital under the umbrella of Abdul Halim Khan Foundation. Now I myself, my brothers, sisters, family members and friends are dedicated to raise money to screen and treat poor cancer patients.

I have been involved in developing new cancer drugs in the USA since 2013 at Johnson & Johnson and Otsuka. Athough I am physically here, my soul remains in Bangladesh. I am always thinking about my home country and long for the help treating cancer patients to fulfill my mother's remaining dream.
