Die at 20! Oh no! Oh no! But now it is a yes! It is a Yes! It is a Yes! It is a Yes!.... It is now my earnest and urgent prayer to you to help me from such a predicament. It is so scary!

My name is Michael Ondari, 19-year-old student at Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology Main Campus, Kenya, Africa. I was born and raised in a poor but happy, hopeful, and vibrant nuclear family with my other three siblings. I went to school like any other normal child, playing all sorts of children games: catching, cooking, and eating grasshoppers, swimming in muddy waters and muddy rivers, playing in the stormy rains, jumping fences and helping ourselves with neighbors' mangoes and sugarcane, modelling mud, rearing rabbits and hunting with village dogs. There was no end to the number of games we could play! What a beauty!

In late February 2013, I was to join High School but there was no money in the family. My mother having fallen sick the whole of the previous years, used up all the meager family resources and even fund-raised for more. Everybody in the family was stressed up and hopeless. But God being God, I got MasterCard - Wings to Fly Equity Bank scholarship which enabled me go through the whole of my High School without interruptions unlike other students.

I did well in my final High School exam, and one week after the release, I got an internship at Equity Bank Headquarters in Nairobi where I interned for eight months. I could even have done better were it not for my ailing mother and her passing on in April 2015 which had affected me.

In 2016, while carrying a stone, it hit my father and broke his arm, Since then he cannot do much. My other siblings are students. Therefore, my family has no income.

I was very happy joining campus in September 2017, enjoying my studies and campus life socializing and playing basketball.

However, my happiness was short-lived when I started feeling weak, lost 15 kg( from 65-49) despite having increased appetite and food consumption, anxiety, fatigue, excessive sweating, restlessness, bulged eyes, feeling nausea, swelling in the neck region caused by an enlarged thyroid, and muscle weakness.I was actually "dead". At hospital, at first sight they thought I was a typical TB case. However, upon further examination I was found to be a Hyperthyroidism - Grave's Disease - goiter's case.

For sixteen months now, I have been taking drugs, going for monthly examinations, tests, and clinics. I have been able to see the following changes: regained strength, reduced sweating, became energetic..I now weigh 75kg.. The only remaining issues are bulging of the eyes, increased swelling of the neck, increased appetite and food consumption, and sweating.

On October, 2018, I appealed for medical funds from GoGetFunding to cater for hospital bills, travelling costs to and fro hospital, special diet, and other minor expenses, Later, the school took over the medical bills, leaving me to cater for other expenses of which I am appealing for.

I was moved when I learnt from GoGetFunding that I can also donate something for the whole world. This opened my mind and gave me ideas of founding a Community Youth Group to solve some of the SDGs. Soon I was joined by my family members and a few friends who embraced the idea to actualize it. [Website under construction and link to be posted soon]. With this kind of teamwork from me, my team, and you, doing such benevolent Corporate and Individual Social Responsibility, should we really loose anyone of us so soon? How beautiful that we were created to be our brothers' keeper!

Your prayers and generous contributions will be highly appreciated. Thank you all in finding time to read and act on this. GOD BLESS YOU ALL!
