Fundraising to Help My Son Join Karatedo International Competition

Hi, my name is April from the Philippines, a single mother of 3 very active boys. My children are all Karatedo enthusiasts, partly because it is their school extra-curricular activity but also they’ve come to love the Martial Arts. My eldest Miguel just won the Gold Medal in the National Karate-do Tournament in Calamba, Laguna, Philippines. This qualifies him to join an international tournament in Hong Kong on November 22nd to 25th.

I am raising funds to help with the expenses that come with competing internationally. The local government is partly shouldering the costs of transportation (airfare and other travels within the cities the tournament is held), accommodation and the gear. But the contribution is not enough. This led me to raise the funds through GoGetFunding. As a single mom of three, it is difficult for me to support all my children's series of tournaments both locally and internationally. We need to raise at least $600 to cover his airfare, accommodation, food, other necessities, and gear expenses in this competition.

Please help us raise the funds for Miguel's participation in this international tournament. Help him achieve his dream of competing internationally and connect with other players around the world and experience different cultures.
